hi

had 2 x macpro 10.13.6 both macs the same spec [1 for each person,2xhd, 1 for clone, personal file sharing turned ON so each can access others files easily ] in office w. and isp for internet and website hosting

indesign, illustrator, photoshop, adobe sfw to create PDF files

closing office

thinking about take both imacpros home - putting all 4 hd in one macpro

leaving personal file sharing turned on to act as a 'server'

home user has macbookpro 10,1 macOS 10.13.6,  2.6.  ghz i7, 16mb 1600mhz ram, 512 gb ssd, 1gb video card

or

keep other mac pro as wkstn quadcore 2.66ghz 16 mb ram. 1 td hd, 1 gb video card,

-----------

remote mac

MacBookPro15,1

2.6 ghz   6-Core Intel Core i7

macOS = 10.15.3, 16gb 2400mhz ram. 512gb ssd 4 gb ideo card

.............

i know adobe products dont play well w/ server

fastest internet speed in home = 1.5 gb down, 940 mbps up

but

fastest internet speed in REMOTE is 50 mbps down. 10 mbps up

...

1. for home setup is it best to use laptp or desktop ?

2.  for remote setup how should i setup devices ?   currently user 'copies' files from 'server' to laptop and then back when done

can remote user work directly off files on server or is copy to and fro best method ?
