Creative Cloud Frozen, can't click anything

I've just received a new macbook air (M1, 16GB) and set up from my old computer's time machine backup. Creative Cloud is frozen. All CC apps stop responding, nothing loads.

CC will open but I cannot click on anything. I can scroll up and down as seen in the attachment but can't click anything. I can't uninstall CC because it tells me I have apps that depend on it, but I can't uninstall the apps because CC won't let me click on anything. I can't even sign out.

I have deleted everything in OOBE and restarted several times. Only one other computer is signed in to my account, withing the allowance, and that computer is shut down.

I don't know what to do next to get CC to respond. Thanks for your help.

don't use time machine with adobe programs.

undo whatever's been done and then properly install adobe programs by installing the cc desktop app from here https://creativecloud.adobe.com/apps/all/desktop?action=install&source=apps&productId=creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs.

if you have trouble downloading, use the alternative download site at page bottom here, https://helpx.adobe.com/in/download-install/kb/creative-cloud-desktop-app-download.html
