I am trying to install Creative Cloud desktop
I get the following error:
Another installer is currently running, which must be closed
Error code: 87
Running Windows 7 and I dont believe I have any other installers running
Thanks for any advice!
Try the given steps and let know if that helps!
1. Restart the computer in selective mode, follow the steps mentioned in given link:- http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/run-selective-startup-system-configuration#1TC=windows-7
2. If still issue persists, unhidden the Administrator user account, steps mentioned in following link:- HOW TO: Enable the build-in Administrator account in Windows Vista
Thanks, it works.
Which one worked. I am having the same problem.
Just had this happen today right after rebooting my machine to resolve an error code 50, I waited about 5 minutes then clicked retry and the CC update started installing properly. My IT guy believes that it was due to a windows update going on in the background that had completed between the time the error first popped up and the time I clicked the retry button. Anecdotal evidence to be sure, but give it a try, it might save you the effort of going through the selective startup hoops posted above.
I'm having same issue but i have win10... can someone help me please
I also have windows 10 with the same problem.
Same problem here - Windows 10 - Adobe CS6
Found the soloution on Windows 10.
Ctrl alt delt to task manager > go to Processes > Find and close all instances of windows installer.exe
strange but it fixed it when restarting wouldn't
This worked like a charm.
Thank you so much...too easy and working now...
Thanks Pure Xiii worked for me!
Worked, thanks PureXIII
Closing Windows Installer worked for me in Windows 10
There is no ‘correct’ in my display for me to click it…..
This worked! Thanks!
please help me
I've got the same bug. Tried this and worked. Thanks...
Oh, thank you SO much PureXIII. Came here after crazy search through adobe.com, which was no help at all. Shutting down the windows installers did indeed solve the error 87 problem on win10. THANK YOU again!!
I shut down all the processes that had "install" in the name -- two windows processes and an adobe process. And also the one-click thing from MS office, which also appears to be an installer. But then CC wouldn't come up at all. Rebooted at least twice and finally went online to the CC download page and started that process, which went very quickly (apparently detecting that I had a valid account), and after that did the updates flawlessly. I would still like to know where MS hides the error codes and what they mean.
Thank you, this is what I had to do also.
It worked for me. Then appeared error code 72 and never downloaded. End of story.
I have windows 10 and this worked awesome and it was very simple. Thanks!!
Still won't work for me. I ended the Windows Installer task and still no luck.
thank you so much!
This worked for me as well (Win 8.1). Thanks PureXIII!
