Creative Clud auto updating even though auto update is off.

creative cloud is automatically updating apps at startup even though I have the auto update turned off. tripled startup time this morning with the photoshop update.  What do I need to set in preferances besides the auto update to off to insure this does not happen? I want to control when to update my apps.
