CreativeCloud says apps installed when they are not

Hi.
I have Creative cloud on 2 computers sharing the same subscription to all adobe products.
I installed apps, eg AE, on one and went to put it on the other but when I sign in it says those programs are installed (on the 2nd computer) even though they are not installed. Frustration.
Is it the shared IP address? is it Wombles?
I searched for an answer and was left wanting so now I am asking.
the cloud app shows an 'Open' button and ...
