I've downloaded the Premium Design CS5, but when I click on the Install package I get the following message:
Install can't be opened. You should eject the disk image. Install is on the disk image. DesignPremium_CS5_LS1.dmg. Safari downloaded this disk image today at 7:52 from help.adobe.com.
When I click on the ?, I get the following message:
The app’s authorization has been revoked
There may be a problem with this app. Although the app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for the app has been revoked, and it cannot be opened.
Check with the Mac App Store or the software developer to see whether there is an updated version of this app.

I've looked through the forum and found the suggestion to use the cleaner tool, but this Mac hasn't had the Adobe software on it before, so there is nothing to clean up. Need help.
CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan/Sierra
-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates
-Adobe fix to Apple's problem https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/install-creative-suite-mac-os-sierra.html
-install OLD Java runtime if needed https://support.apple.com/kb/dl1572?locale=en_US

>still having issues with my serial number
What issue?
When you have a non-functioning computer and can't deactivate a serial number
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
Adobe ID and registration support (non-CC) http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/service-c1.html
Invalid Serial Number https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2359923
-Problems with software validation https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2273259
-Warning that software is not genuine http://www.adobe.com/genuine.html
Also, did you download the installer that exactly matches your serial number?
-ie, the Master Collection installer will not work with any other Suite or individual program's serial number
-upgrade qualifying product https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/error-serial-number-qualifying-product.html

I still use CS3 and OS High Sierra on iMac 2009. Smooth as a breeze. Want it to run really fast? Add 8 GB ram or more. I only pay for CC if they hire me as a digital artist. For now, I'm a PS hobbyist.

I don't know much about Mac programs, besides some saved links from other discussions, but if you don't have one, you need to buy a program that makes a COMPLETE backup of your hard drive... because if your drive ever fails you will not be able to use CS3 again... the activation server has been removed from service and the program will not activate again
