Deactivation of photoshop cs6 in preparation for upgrading windows

Hello,my mentor transferred d ownership of his system to me,and the system has adobe Photoshop cs6 and other cs6 products installed in it,I want to upgrade the windows of the system from windows 7 to windows 8,if I deactivate Photoshop cs6 before upgrading, am I gonna need an activation code to reinstall Photoshop cs6?

I moved your post over from the poorly named Community Help forum, which is for getting help using this forum system, to a better forum, Download & Install.

 

But STOP. Although Win7 is no longer supported it has more life than Win 8, (Win 8 Is DEAD DEAD DEAD) and Win 8.1.

 

Not sure what you mean by transferred ownership but unless they had contact Adobe and transferred the license for CS6 to you they should not of given you that computer with CS6 installed on it.

Win 8 won't help you.  You're better off remaining on Win7.  Problem solved for the moment.  But the license transfer  needs to be completed.  And you need the product serial number otherwise you can't re-install anything.
