I recently got the new Macbook Air 2020 and I was hoping to download my CS6 suite to it, however when I download it, it says "Install needs to be updated. The developer of this app needs to update it to work with this version of macOS. Contact the developer for more information." Is there anyway around this? It's pretty frustrating that I bought this suite just for it to be unusable within 10 years.

CS6 is not compatible with Apple's newest operating system.

You will either have to install an old operating system or subscribe to CC.

Adobe did not change your software, Apple updated their operating system without maintaining backward compatibility

As advised... install an old operating system or buy new software

You have been lucky and your expectations are quite wrong. For Macs, 10 years is a long run. Apps you buy today will be dead in 2 years, Apple have said. It's all part of the Joy of Mac.
