Just updated PS through Creative Cloud, installation is confirmed but Photoshop doesn't start because the programs VCRUNTIME140.dll and MSVCP140.dll are not present on my computer (Windows10). Deinstalled and reinstalled, same issue.
Any advise??

Last week, my Windows 7 PC started throwing this Creative Cloud.exe error on login: "The program can't start because api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." However, the file DOES exist in the path C:\Windows\System32. I can click OK on the error dialog and things seem to operate normally. I can start the Creative Cloud desktop app from a shortcut, and it seems to start normally.
I haven't found any solutions searching the Web, so I did in fact, try to remove/reinstall the Creative Cloud desktop app. The message returned said something like I couldn't remove Creative Cloud because there were apps that depended on it.
The same error results when closing Acrobat DC although it's an AcroCEF.exe system error. I don't get an error at any time when using Dreamweaver CC 2015, Photoshop CC 2015, or Illustrator CC 2015.
Any help will be appreciated.

Try CC Uninstaller :
Creative Cloud Help | Uninstall the Creative Cloud desktop app
If you get error message like Uninstallation completed with errors. Ignore it .
Navigate to C: > Program Files(x86) > Adobe.
Open Adobe folder locate Adobe Creative Cloud folder .
Rename it to Adobe Creative Cloud-old.
Then you can proceed with re-nstallation process.

Would you suggest trying the system file checker BEFORE uninstalling??
Thanks for your assistance!

I did run the system checker first, and it found a couple of files, but they were all .json files, and telemetry-related, so I didn't bother with them.
The Adobe CC uninstaller did the trick. Since re-installing the CC desktop app, and restarting my PC, I haven't received the error.
Thanks again for your help!!

I have the exact same problem as the original post. The dll in question IS in my system32 folder. I successfully uninstalled LR and CC, rebooted, reinstalled CC and LR, and LR will not start saying that the dll is missing. I've uninstalled and re-installed the Visual Studio C++ Redistributable, I have all the Windows 7 System updates, SFC shows no problems, yet LR will not run. To add insult to injury, I was trying to upgrade from LR version 6 standalone to LR CC and now none of my Adobe apps are working. I paid for the subscription and the result is - I can't use the subscription apps AND my existing LR Classic (standalone) is dead! And, of course, I can't find a phone number or email to actually speak to a human at Adobe - I could really use some help with this - please!

Hi,
With the June 2016 release of Adobe® Creative Cloud® the applications have migrated to using Visual C++® 2015 runtimes from Microsoft®.
This change has been made to ensure that the Creative Cloud software is using runtimes that Microsoft is currently supporting.
With this migration, our latest version of Creative Cloud Apps will require that the VC 2015 runtimes have been installed on the system using the software in order to run correctly.
Would suggest you to follow Error :api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

You can easily fix both on your Windows 10 to do so just try it downloading the latest version file of vcruntime140.dll and msvcp140.dll. Copy both files at a specific location or path and try to reinstall it there and restart your PC. If still, you can't just find a step by step process to fix which I found online
Fix vcruntime140.dll Missing File Error
Fix msvcp140.dll Missing File Error

Yes, and I watched the Adobe tech update it as well. About a month ago PS began crashing shortly after launch and it wouldn't allow the app updates. I was advised to uninstall, then reinstall by another Adobe tech but that has proven a huge mistake, as I can't get it downloaded now....

I have this going on trying to run a brand new download of Animate. I tried downloading the files for Win10 but in both cases the setup failed. I tried the above solution but I do not have the choice of repair. I have modify or uninstall. Is it really so hard to use Adobe software. I am truly frustrated. I feel like I have to be a computer software engineer. Has anyone solved this problem?

The "Fix" we found was listed on <https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/1988165-adobe-system-error-adobegcclient-exe-msvcp140-dll?pag...> from user LSimons2000.
It basically says this:
If you have Windows 7 or 10 x64, go to this folder:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient\AdobeGCClient.exe rename this file to AdobeGCClient.old
If you have Windows 7 or 10 x86, go to this folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCClient\AdobeGCClient.exe rename this file to AdobeGCClient.old
***
I tried this on a user's system that has Adobe Acrobat XI and it seems to help with the messages. I goofed originally and renamed the Entire Folder of AdobeGCClient to AdobeGCClient.old and noticed that within 10 - 15 min, there was a new folder created. This tell me that Adobe controls this folder and can update it at will regardless of what Corporate Update Policies are in place and without user action or notification. This is pretty shady business practice to me. This folder/file can be updated not by an Adobe Acrobat Patch, but by Adobe's servers.
Another website talked about this file on < https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2308268?start=40&tstart=0 > and user gfsdfasfsdfsdf indicated the Adobe GC Client is used for licensing validation and to combat software piracy. This is why Adobe isn't being exactly forthcoming with information on this issue and the client in general.
Hope this help.

Hello, we bought 15 licenses of Photoshop, but I'm having a problem with installing them on the PC (we have closed the downloading exe files). 90% of viruses on the Internet are exe files. I also have a problem with the download on 15 PCs 100-500 megabytes to install the program Photoshop. Where can I download the full distribution Photoshop?
