Error code P206

I'm receiving error code P206 when I try to install InDesign trial on Windows (stand alone).  This error says "unable to reach adobe servers", yet I'm able to ping the servers.  I'd like to purchase this product but don't dare do it if it won't even install a trial!  I have installed this before without a problem so my internet connection is not the issue.  This problem has occurred to other people, is there a fix?

if you confirm you can connect and still see that error:

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop app, https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.

if you're unable to install the cc desktop app at this stage, use an administrator account (solution 3 here, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/creative-cloud-missing-damaged.html)

use the desktop app to install your cc programs/trials

all the advice didnt worked for me. i can still retry installing the creative cloud app and it works, but the p206 error always pops up. i can also install illustrator by the same way but the app wont work after installing.

i tried every advice on the adobe website and also reset my hole computer, but that didnt fix the problem either

I'm having a similar problem. Not only am I getting a 206 on premiere and photoshop but the installer isn't working wither (check firewall and time settings). All advice seems to lead in circles and not work. Ive tried disabling and re-enabling the firewalls and retrying, I've even tried copying someone's code in cmd. Nothing seems to work and when I try to uninstall apps and start over the installer keeps on stopping me from getting anywhere. Please help!!!!!!

It's not very nice spending a lot of money on software I CAN'T USE!!!!!

Hi,

Just had the same issues trying to get past error code P206 went to Settings, Privacy, Automatic Downloads and clicked on Allow and it let me install it straight away. I don't know if it was just a fluke or what but it worked.
