Getting 'Invalid credentials' when installing my paid subscription

Please can anyone shed light on why when istalling a paid for subxcription I am geeetin the error "invalid credentials', yet my account shows I have a valid paid for subscription? Many thanks in advance.

if you have a mac, you may seeing a mac prompt for your password, not an adobe prompt.

 

however, if you're sure it's an adobe prompt:

 

check your account to verify your subscription is what you expect and to verify your adobe id, https://accounts.adobe.com

 

then install the cc desktop app from here https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and use it to install your adobe subscription and trial programs after using the same adobe id and password used to verify your subscription.
