Nancy,

Sorry for the late reply, hope you're still here. I think what the question is, at least what I want to know, if you now access an existing portfolio as 'me1.myportfolio.com', can you rename it or clone it to be 'me2.myportfolio.com', assuming 'me2' is available?

Thanks Nancy,

When I do the change, do I retain the ownership of the old subdomain name?

I now have my first portfolio as 'mainme.myportfolio.com', but it contains a special project, not the more varied photos I imagine for my main portfolio.  I understand from your reply above that I can rename 'mainme' to 'specproj1.myportfolio.com'.  Before doing that though, I want to be sure that original name will still exist and be assigned to me.  Can you confirm I won't loose 'mainme'?

When you rename the implication is you no longer have the old name. Have you read anywhere that you can have more than one separate portfolio identity?

Seems pretty definite if you read the linked stuff. "Every Portfolio user has a unique URL (username.myportfolio.com). However, you can change this built-in domain up to five (5) times. " A unique URL, it says, not "multiple ..."

maybe you need to make your own web site.

Create a new site with the new name.

1 site = 1 name.

2 sites = 2 names.

You can have up to 5 Portfolio sites at a time.

Nancy, thanks for listening to my novice user ramblings.  I figured out better how to use the portfolio editor, grids and buttons, and now don't realy need another subdomain.  I'm good.  Thanks again!
