A couple of questions…
1. Which operating system are you currently using?
2. Are you saying that when you try installing Illustrator the installation starts but then stops at 9.8%?

There is a possibility that the operation is hindered by security software, so let's review the surrounding environment.

However, Illustrator CC Version 23.x is not compatible with macOS 10.15.
Roll back to macOS 10.14 if you are sure of the behavior.

Hi Anciger,

Sorry to hear about this issue. I would request if you can try following these steps and let us know if that helps:

1. Cancel the current install. Use the cleaner tool (https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/kb/cc-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html) to uninstall all Adobe applications.
2. Remove all the Adobe folders manually from Applications and Utilities.
3. Once done, restart the system.
4. Reinstall the Creative Cloud from https://www.adobe.com/in/creativecloud/desktop-app.html
5. Once the Creative Cloud app is installed, install other applications.

PS: If you have CS applications like CS3 or CS6 etc., then please make sure to exclude CS applications while running the cleaner tool. They have been discontinued and are no longer supported on the latest OS. Once uninstalled, we could not install them again.

For further help, moving the discussion to Get Started community.

Regards,

Srishti

I am running High Sierra 10.13.6 and my download is getting stuck at 9.8%. Thing is, I was running Illustrator on this Mac for almost two years between 2014-2016 with no problems at all. This week I downloaded Illustrator again and it's getting stuck.

Thanks.

Review the operation of resident applications including security software and the status of the Internet line you are using.
If you want to distinguish the problem, create a new user account and try it there.
