Is there any way I can upgrade Photoshop CS6 to 13.1.2 (without getting the U44M1P7 error)?

I did everything suggested in the forums. Deactivated, uninstalled, used the cleaner tool, re-installed, tried upgrading from different versions, the whole gamut. No use. I simply cannot upgrade.

My worry is that when CC comes out in a couple of weeks, I won't be able to upgrade. And I will be stuck with 13.0.1 forever.

Thanks,

Hi Jeff,

Manual clean up of all the Adobe Folders after Uninstalling Photshop did the trick.

After that we got some error while installing Photoshop and the Error logs shows the issue with some Fonts.

After deleting the Problematic Fonts we again tried installing Photoshop and got success in that.

After that Updates also got installed without any issues.

In this situation the Installed Package got corrupted somehow and the only fix is to uninstall Photoshop and delete all the Adobe Folders. Reinstal

OK, as instructed by Abhijit, I deleted the two fonts that were causing the installation problem, then uninstalled, reinstalled. Now getting a slightly different error log (below).

Current state is, Photoshop 13 runs fine, despite these errors. However, I still cannot upgrade to 13.1.2. The culprit could be these errors I'm getting during initial install, or something else. I don't know. But here you go:

Gollum,

What is the current version of Ps (Help->System Info), if you have 13.0.1.2 already applied then you need to re-install Ps to get Ps 13.1.2.

As 13.1.2 is a subscription patch this would not get applied over 13.0.1.2. Please uncheck 13.0.1.2 update available.

If this still does not resolves your issue i would setup a connect session.

Please mail me @ asnigam@adobe.com.

Regards,

Ashutosh

Greetings Ashutosh,

I've cleaned all adobe products following the instructions in the thread.

After that, I've installed (using creative cloud) the Photoshop CS6.

The version currently installed (before any update) is:

Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64

When I open the Adobe Application Manager, it shows me that an update for Photoshop is avaiable. When I ask for details for the update, it shows the following updates will be applied if I click at the Update button:

- Adobe Photoshop 13.0.1.2

- Adobe CSXS InfrastrucrureCS6

- Dynamic Link Media Server CS6 1.0.1

- Adobe Photoshop 13.1.2 for Creative Cloud

As you can see, it will apply 13.0.1.2 if I click Update and the other update will fail. How can I disable this update for the 13.1.2 work?

Hi Gollum,

You can go ahead and install the Update. Everything will get install except 13.0.1.2 as it is for Perpetual License.

You will get U44M1P7 error only for 13.0.1.2 so dont worry.

Abhijit

Today, when I oppened the Adobe Application Manager, the update 13.0.1.2 did not showed up and then I could update normally to 13.1.2. As the update script came from Adobe every time, I think the previus script was broken and they fixed it.

Well, now it is updated. Thanks for the help.

Just so you know, Abhijit's post was about my update problem, not Gollum's.

I'd like to thank the Adobe support, and especially Abhijit for resolving my issues. His persistent approach and attention to detail paid off at the end. After two days and long phone/remote connections, I'm now up and running with no issues.

Cheers,

Hi Onur,

I would advise you to uninstall Photoshop and Reinstall it.

Try updating the software afterward.
