Chat agent suggested I came here. I have LR 5.7 (purchased not subscription) on Mac desktop and want to install on Mac laptop.
Installed OK but won't accept serial no - "The serial number you have entered is invalid.Try again ...."
Mac High Sierra 10.13.6. 24 character serial in 4 by 6 boxes.
As far as I remember it was an upgrade purchased from Adobe.
Desktop installation indicatess both original and upgrade serials.

Is it asking for a “qualifying serial” at all?

No, it just says "provide a serial number"

Just Shoot Me - Thanks for your reply. It only asks for the actual serial, and I then do as you say. But there is not then a second set of boxes asking for any QPV.

Are you entering the LR 5 serial number in the first dialog window?
Not an previous version serial?

Yes I saw your other post. I actually work from the webpages for these forum and not from email so I see all posts to the dicussions I reply to.
IMO having a wrong address and or something that looks corrupted in your online Adobe account pages should not have anything to do with getting LR5 working on your system.
I have a Mac that has OS X 10.13.x on it but have not tried to install LR 5 on it. I do have the Mac install DMG. So maybe latter today I might try installing it.

Yes, but apparently they limit the number of upgrades, and I'd had around 4 from my original purchase. Anyway I'm happy with the subscription, covers PShop and Bridge as well. All OK now. So thanks again for your attempts to help.
Best wishes
Tony

And a vaild serial should start with 1160 and be 24 total Number characters long.
At the first screen it should ask for the actual serial # for LR 5. Then once that is entered Correctly a second set of boxes should come up asking for the serial # from a Qualifying Previous Version. Any previous version serial # will work, even back to LR V1.
Once that is enter you may get a Registration screen that you do not have to fill out. And then the program should function.

I don't know if relevant, but I've noticed in my Adobe account Notifications, The Street Address has a corrupted entry, putting my postcode as Aberdeen, when it is Kendal.
