I have lightroom Classic on disc. Now swapped laptop for one without a disc drive. Any ideas where I can download Lightroom Classic then put in my activation code?

Lightroom Classic isn't available on disc. It's only a part of a Creative Cloud subscription and can be downloaded via the CC Desktop Client.

I'll think you mean Lightroom 6. The installations file you'll find on this website:
