In the information about "Sign in to activate your Adobe apps" (https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/activate-deactivate-products.html) I see below "The following types of information may be sent to Adobe during activation" the bullet-point "Machine ID".

• What is this? or
• What information is collected in the Machine ID?

I am not sure if you will get the exact specifics about this on this forum, these are peer to peer forums with employees participation quite less. I would rather try asking this on the support channel, they have a better chance of answering this and that will be an official statement.

As far as I'm aware the machine id refers to the activated devices associated with your account, when you look at your Adobe account and go to My Plan, scroll down and you'll see a list of activated devices with your PC name
