I've maxed out the space on my original hard drive and LR and PS were running super slowly, so I added a new SSD. What is the best,  most efficient way to move LR Classic and PS with all my settings and preferences to the new SSD drive. (Leaving my photos on the og drive.)

uninstall ps and lr (https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html)

then with the CC application opened, choose the 3 dots in the upper right corner and then choose Preferences. in the preferences panel select Creative Cloud and then look for the Install Location drop down https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/manage-cc-individual-membership.html

Hello, I'm afraid this would not move the preferences to the new drive.

You would need to navigate to each app's preferences folder and copy the content, then paste it on the new drive (if the OS is reinstalled on that disk)

Hello,  I have a MacBookPro 10.15.7 from mid 2015. I am getting ready to buy the LR Pohotgraphy Plan but I am afraid that my Mac won't be able to support it so I  purchased a 2TB SSD. My understanding is that in addition to storage the SSD is good for running systems. Can I run LR from the SSD and if so how do I do that? As much detail as possible is welcome. Thank you so much for your time and expertise!

putting all executables on your ssd is a good idea.  eg, install your os and all executable programs like adobe's on your ssd dive.

putting your production files (eg, photos, videos, all save files from adobe apps) on another drive will help preserve ssd space.

otoh, you have a gigantic ssd so you could just put everything on it.
