Need Help with Illustrator Update

I currently have an illustrator update; however it keeps telling me it has a conflict with the update due to the program being open. I have saved all my work and closed the program but it continues to give me the error message saying it cannot continue the update due to the program being open. Has anyone had this issue and can help me? I have already restarted and shut down my computer.

I have a Macbook Pro and am running the Illustrator 2020 program..

Hey Nancy, Thanks for the Response but as noted in my initial post, I have already tried restarting and shutting down my computer and it still throws the error code.
