old product, perpetual product but I can't find a dll to it

I had old cs6 lost box, hdd died, chat support confirms I have a "perpetual product" but they don't offer support for it. Going in to the old a/c I can find the old registration but the a/c cannot see the boxed product  I had...   How do I get AIcs6 back in my life?!  It was Adobe design Std.  I can't afford to up my current CC plan to inc. AI

you have 3 ways to recover a serial number that you once had:

you need the installation file, Download Adobe CS6 Trials: Direct Links (no Assistant or Manager) | ProDesignTools

and your serial number (for activation).  you have 3 ways to recover your serial number:  if, after entering your serial number, you see an excess activation count error, you'll need to re-contact adobe support and request an activation count reset.

1. if you purchased from or registered with adobe (automatically done with cs6):, a. you can check your account, https://accounts.adobe.com b. you can check with adobe support* (be prepared to give the email address used when registering purchasing)

2. if your adobe program is installed on another computer you can recover its serial number from that computer, (win:) http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html, (mac:) https://mac-product-key-finder.com/

IF/When you do have a download, be sure to copy it to AT LEAST one external device
-since Adobe does sometimes remove old versions from the server
-a usb flash drive or hard drive, or write to a DVD
-plus a text file containing your serial number

From whom did you purchase legacy Creative Suite 6?  It hasn't been sold legally in any country since 2017 when Adobe officially pulled it from the shelves. 

It's important to write down your product serial numbers and keep them in a safe place along with your installation media.  And if this was an Education or volume licensed edition,  it probably won't work without the original disks or downloads that you received at purchase.  

AI as a single app is only $21/month for a 12 month plan.   Or if you pay the slightly higher $31/month for a month-to-month plan, you can cancel it anytime you wish without penalty (a good option for short term projects).
