Photoshop won't install and does not give error message

I recently purchased the photography plan (includes Lightroom and Photoshop). Lightroom installed properly onto my MacBook. However, when I click install for Photoshop, the loading bar jumps from 0% directly to 99%. I get the banner notification that the installation was successful, but the Photoshop app drops back down to the "install" section. I do not get an error message or any indicator that there is a problem. I've tried clicking download from Adobe in Safari and install from the Creative Cloud window but it continues to do the same thing. How can I get Photoshop to download?

make sure your os is 10.10 or better is you're trying to install ps cc 2017.

if it is and you see that problem,

uninstall everything cc including preferences, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-remove-app.html

then uninstall the cc desktop app, https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/uninstall-creative-cloud-desktop-app.html

clean your computer of cc files per http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html

restart your computer (don't skip this)

reinstall the cc desktop
