I purchased Adobe CS4 many years ago and am trying to install it on my new computer. Now when I get to the product key part of installation it is telling me I have an "invalid product key". I am 100% sure this is the correct product key as it was previously installed on my old computer. Can someone explain why this is happening now?

1 - did you DE-activate before so your two allowed activations are available?
2 - where did you buy, and are you sure it was from an authorized dealer?
3 - read below

Hmm I will see if I can get the old laptop up and running and deactivate it. I didn't know it was limited to 2 activations so maybe that is it. Can't ever recall installing it on a second computer though, but seems the most likely scenario. I bought directly from Adobe and have the hard discs so I know it is reputable, just a very long time ago haha.

Did you check your Adobe account to ensure you have the correct serial number for that product?

Was CS4 an upgrade? I ask because if it was, you'll probably need the qualifying product's serial number.

I believe it is the correct serial number since I am installing off of a disc, not an upgrade. I purchased it as an extenson of the 30-day trial about 10 years ago.
