Hi there,

on my desktop, i installed Acrobat X Pro years ago with a bought license. Today i got the abo with LR and PS and creative cloud app offers me an update of Acrobat Pro to DC. DC is not part of the photography plan as i know.

I'm wondering what happens to my license if i update Acrobat X Pro to DC? Is it then just the trial or my still my lifetime license as DC?

Thx

Hannes

What you're seeing is a really bad bug. You are not entitled to upgrade for free, so what happens is

- it uninstalls Acrobat X

- it installs Acrobat DC

- you can't use it!

So don't accept the offer...

Creative Cloud Acrobat Pro DC is entirely separate from your old licensed Acrobat X.   I'm not even sure Acrobat X is supported anymore.

Unless you have a single app subscription,  7 day's usage is the most you'll get from CC Acrobat Pro DC.

Depending on what you do, FREE Acrobat Reader might be all you need.

FREE Acrobat Reader -- view, comment, print & sign PDF.

Paid Acrobat Pro DC -- the complete solution for creating and saving PDF.

If your old Acrobat still works and does what you need, there is no reason to update

I have Win10 and the old Acrobat Pro 9 that came with CS5 still works and does what I need... which is not very extensive, but I am able to convert a Word document to PDF
