I had Lightroom 5 on my older computer and purchased it in disc form. I bought a new computer and decided to put lightroom on it. Well this iMac doesnt have a disc drive so I downloaded the latest version off adobes site. I have my serial number from 2 years ago, and went to put it in and its 6 digits too short. They are wanting a 24 digit number, while mine is only 18. I still have my receipt as well as the box and the serial numbers match up.
Also to be sure I downloaded LR 5.7.1 which is what was on my old computer, so im not sure why this isnt working.

I checked that when I first started and the serial number I am using is located in one of the locations they tell you to look for it in. It just is not enough digits

Have you been through the current Adobe article on how to locate your serial number?

I did. My problem is I can't remember what email is connected to the license. I just have the box the cd came in. It has a product number, but it's only 18 digits. It's been almost 12 years since I bought it.
