Spark Video - Unsupported Video

My students are trying to use video clips in their spark video. Their clips are less than 30 seconds and .mp4 format. When we try to save the video, the message is that Spark does not support the file type and it needs to be converted. .mp4 is a supported filetype, so I'm not understanding this error. Thanks for your help!

Spark Video on web supports most video files in the .mp4, .mov, and .m4v container formats which are encoded using H.264 video codec and either MP3 or AAC audio codecs.  Other container formats or codecs are not fully supported.   You need to convert your video files into a format that Spark Video will recognize.  See link below on how to do it with Adobe Media Encoder.

She specifically stated it was already encoded as a MP4. I'm having the same problem and after looking up troubleshooting, apparently this is a common problem and a contradictory one. The files are in a supported format and still do not upload...anyone have a better answer?
