I'm running into the same problem. Cannot get the Creative Cloud app on mac to install any software. I just signed up for the Creative Cloud a couple of days ago, so I'd have to say it is not going well.
Mac Pro, 10.14.6, 16gb RAM, 8tb hard drive. Creative Cloud app simply spins and spins; restarting the app and my computer does nothing to fix the issue.
