The above fix should work , if there is no issue with serial number .

Just in case , if you still get Invalid serial number error , it is better to check with the serial number once .

For that , you can contact Adobe Support , they will certainly check and assist you accordingly .

You need to click on Still need help button and select Chat option :

https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html?step=CCSN_membership-account-payment_account-settings_stillNeed...

For any other queries , you can post questions here .

All the best

I need a link to download... I have not deleted all in folder. When you say down load to windows 7 what do you mean?  Just click on down load  or do I need to direct it?

Thes workaround worked, I did no more get the error message "unsuportet OS.."

But now I got another problem:

"Inkonsistenz in der Installationsprogramm-Datenbank.." (sorry, my OS and LR ist in German). The log file shows "- 0 fatal error(s), 0 error(s) ".

I tried to fix runnig the AdobeCreativeCloudCleanderTool: no success...

Think, I will move to another graphics tool....

For this error , we need to simply rename Caps.db file to Old-Caps.db.

Location :

C: > Program files(x86) > Common Files > Adobe > Caps .     [ Under Common files , you can find an Adobe folder ]

Open Caps folder and rename Caps.db and try to install again .

Reference :

Error "...Installer Database is Corrupt..." when you install Adobe Creative Suite 4 or point product

I just had to go to the directory "Win Support files" and open the set-up.exe file.

Thank you Hannes! That worked for me too.

Thanks a lot for your quick feedback!

I'm not sure, what was the right solution, but meanwhile LS 6 ist installed correctly on my pc.

First I copied alle the files from the DVD (also buyed via AMAZON) to my harddisk.

Before starting the setup file from the HD, I changed one setting of the graphics card (DELL laptop, card is named Intel(R) HD Graphics).

I had the choice for the card between quality and performance and switched the setting from preformance to quality.

After this, starting the installion from HD, it works. Now I'm happy.

Please excuse my bad English.

Thanks a lot for your quick feedback!

I verifyed your solution and may be this could be right.

But I didn't try this, because meanwhile, after about 15 hours last Sunday, LS 6 ist installed on my pc correctly.

But I don't really know, what was the right solution, cause I tryed so many different thinks in this time.

But now I'm happy and after installion, I immediately made a complete backup from my pc system.

Please excuse my bad English.
