Trying to update PS CS5 to camera raw 6.7 "installation failed" .

When using the downloaded zip version 6.7 or 6.71 from the adobe site the error message is simply "installation failed". When trying to update from within Photoshop itself the message reads "Photoshop Camera Raw 6.7 Update   There was an error downloading this update. please quit and try again later. Win XP sp2. What now?

Thanks Jeff, but that's the exact same 82meg zip that gave me "installation failed". I guess I didn't make it clear. NEITHER automated update from within the PS help menu, NOR manual update from the files available on the Adobe website led to success.

Redd Ruffensohr then please review your installation log files for the exact error message leading to the failure.  You can find details on how to locate and interpret your installation log files at Troubleshoot install issues with log files | CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cc.html.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover to this discussion.

Thanks for the link Jeff. The installer said to check the log files but gave no clue where to find them. There's PS files scattered all over the computer. if I'd looked for a hundred years I would''ve never found them. There were 2: This 1st one a plain text .log  tilled "Adobe Setup Error.log"-
