Unwanted Creative Cloud

Creative Cloud has taken over my Adobe programmes, noticeably Photoshop.

When I try to open Photoshop, a window labelled Creative Cloud opens and tells me to wait for ever more.

Presumably this is because I have not paid anything.

I do not want Creative Cloud but want Photoshop back.

How do I do this?

Hello Ned

I followed your advice and uninstalled Creative Cloud using the downloaded programme.

This worked.  However, I am still unable to open Photoshop.  The same Creative Cloud box opens and tells me to wait (after it has checked the license).  Nothing then happens.

Do you have any suggestions to solve this one?

Hi Arij

Thank you for the detailed instructions.

I did all you suggest but, at the end, clicking on the Photoshop icon resulted in the same outcome as before - a large clear box with Creative Cloud in the top LH corner and the message - Please wait for a moment....

I noticed that the Adobe applications Manager and License Utility both come on in the Task Manager Process window when I click on the PS icon. I am unable to switch these off.  Have I missed an instruction somewhere?

Any other suggestions?

Hello Arij2010

I did all you suggested but now an error message comes up saying my Adobe Application Manager is missing or damaged and I need a new copy.

The link provided does not work and I am unable to find the Application Manager download.

Sorry to be a nuisance.  Where is the file actually located?

I found the link and replaced the Manager.

Now, the Photoshop button responds and asks for my details.

However, the program then tells me that I have no subscription and wants me to buy one.

I tried Adobe but their help line was no use - they just kept telling me that I had no subscription.

Is there anything else I can do or have I lost the programme for ever?

Hello again everyone

Can anyone help me recover my CS3 Photoshop after Creative Cloud destroyed my access?

As can be seen from the previous Forum messages, I have followed several suggestions but none have been successful.

I have contacted Adobe but they do not seem to be interested.  They did not want to take responsibility for the loss and kept telling me that I did not have a paid subscription.  Unfortunately, I do not have the serial number but I did have the redemption code.  After much discussion, they appeared to agree that I had a legal copy of the software but still just told me to buy a new subscription.

It seems very unfair that a trial version of software can permanently take over other programmes.

You never mentioned you had CS3. This is critical information, as you cannot install it from your original disks, only download replacement software. You will ALWAYS need the serial number however: this is what you paid for and if you lose it the money is thrown away.

Hi,

What is certain is that the Creative Cloud can not prevent your CS6 from working, but your subscription must be completely canceled and not suspended because it will always get on the perpetual version.

You can try to connect to Creative Cloud desktop with another email address on which there is no subscription and test.

The activation servers of the CS3 have been stopped, you must follow the following procedure to download a new version and have a new serial number:

Activation or connection error when starting CS3 or Acrobat 8

I think we should all file a class action lawsuit against Adobe for taking our Photoshop we paid for (and I might add it is very expensive) hostage without any warning.
