Hello. Thanks in advance for your thoughts, especially during this stressful time we're all living through.

I've tried the Adobe Portfolio help email portal to get me through the problems listed below, but they say they can't help, with seo issues. I then chatted with a Adobe customer service person who said I could upgrade the "challagenge", or something like that, and get senier technical support. But where? Here? I so hope so. Thank you...

www.katelier.org is a site I've built on Adobe Portfolio. It is not the first site I've built using this software so this new experience, not being found on Google in either Chrome or Safari is ...... new. It's been going on for more than a couple of weeks. When I put the full URL into google search, including http:// specifying it search the exact spelling, it successfully brings up separate listings/links for three of its five pages. (Not sure why only three pages. Why not all five?) Re: those three separate listings/links - does anyone know if the way google chooses its little paragraph descriptions is managable? For my home page it is not using the meta descritption I entered in settings>search optimiation>meta description. Rather it is just using the text on the home page itself, but its oblivious of punctuation, so formatted incorrectly.  And still, the larger problem is unsearchability without http:// and exact spelling of the rest.  I just don't know who to turn to for help. Many roads seem to lead me to the Google Console but that seems to require a site map for real trouble shooting, and this software has no site maps.

OK you get the picture. I'm over my head. and need help. Thank you!

I'm seeing more page results for your domain sans the www prefix.

Type this in your browser's address bar and hit enter

site:katelier.org

SEO is a big topic.  But mostly it's just common sense.  Read the Google SEO starter guide.

Submit your URL to Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc... so search engines know you exist.

actually John, fyi, these are all links that lead to, apparently, the one and only Adobe Portfolio contact form, that has twice told me they couldn't help me. I am trying a third time.  I just don't understand the expectation on Adobe's part.  How can I trouble shoot such a situation? Well.. I'm not asking, unless of course you happen to know.

See these help entries regarding the Google Search Console:

You don't necessarily need a sitemap. It should be enough to just request a crawl (see first link above).

I lieu of an XML sitemap which you cannot put on Portfolio's servers, you need to verify your Portfolio site ownership with Google.  Simply add the required line of code from Google Console to your Portfolio custom meta tag.  See correct answer below for details.

https://community.adobe.com/t5/get-started/need-help-with-custom-meta-tags-in-adobe-portfolio/m-p/10...

Finally, don't forget you're competing with a gazillion other websites worldwide for that coveted page #1 ranking.  So you need an advertising budget with Google Ads (formerly Adwords) for at least 6-12 months while your site gets noticed.  It's the cost of doing business.

Best of luck & stay safe.

Sadly, your site lacks any real content for search engines to grab onto.  If you can't write, hire an experienced copywriter to help you.  On the web, keyword-rich content is king.

You got some good advice from people here, so please take also my 5 cents: You need content, really good content and then you need external references to your content. For most small businesses it's not worth to invest a lot into SEO optimizing. You need to use the really old snd best method: someone needs to talk about you. The more prominent this someone is, the higher your rating will be. And the more traffic you get, the higher your rating will be.

Got it Abambo. And thanks. And actually, yes, I got good advice from the others and now you. Obvoiusly I'm new to this game, but surly if there was ever a time in life to get up to speed with a digital business it would be now, as we're all realizng socializing face to face is changing for a while.  There will be less street traffic etc.  So I will refer back to what you've written as well.  Thanks. Hi,

I'm currently having the same issue and see that your site is on google now and was wondering out of all the info that everyone has shared with you, which has helped you the most.

All this information is very overwhelming and confusing for me, so thank you so much in advance!!

You'll need to be patient.  It often takes several weeks or months for Google to find and index new sites.
