Abode Flash Player not support with Dreamweaver

New Here ,
Jan 17, 2022 Jan 17, 2022

Our website was made using Dreamweaver in 2013. I am new to Dreamweaver and am needing to update our website. I keep getting a message about Adobe Flash Player is not support. What do I need to do? Thanks!

Hi @Paul22700077kf5q,

Switch to Code view and remove all code related to Flash Player.

Flash is a dead web technology.  Adobe discontinued the Player when browsers quit supporting plugins.

If you need more help, post a URL to your online page.  We can help you identify which code to remove.

Depending on how much of your site is in Flash, updating may no longer be an option and simply looking to start over will be your best bet.  If you want to post a link to what your site looks like today we can offer advice on how to bring it into the modern era.

index page contains  XHTML Transitional markup and an Edge Animate slideshow , there's no Flash content.

about.html,

contact.html,

bucketelevator.html,

blend.html,

tanks.html:  Each file above contains deprecated code, no valid doc type, table based layouts, a very outdated alert message about IE3 compatibility (IE3 hasn't existed since 1997!) and some outdated image swap JavaScripts but there's no Flash content that I can see.

The site is certainly showing its age but I'm not sure why you're seeing Flash Player warnings.

Validate code with the online validation service for more details:
