Adding new items to Dreamweaver MX's Help menus

I'm a relative beginner in Dreamweaver terms and completely clueless when it comes to extending Dreamweaver. I have a PHP Manual and a MySQL manual, both in Microsoft .chm format that, for convinience, I'd like to add to Dreamweaver MX's Help menu. Is there a simple way to do this? So far I seem to have worked out that I'd have to edit a complicated .xml file and write some javascript (which I don't know how to do), it all seems rather complex.

I'd rather hoped that it would be as simple as dropping the new help files into the Help directory, but clearly not. Can anyone help?

Yes - it is possible.  And yes, it's a huge pain.

However, rather than go mucking around in dreamweaver, why not just make some desktop shortcuts to them?
