adobe dreamweaver cs6 'not responding' when saving

New Here ,
Aug 19, 2017 Aug 19, 2017

Hi

There is issue whenever saving file as the application will freeze and hang for around 30 seconds.  I am saving

to local file and just doing casual saves.  Already tried deleting the WinCache file, that did not work.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

There could be any number of causes such as

  • is there enough RAM
  • does the CPU have enough power
  • is there enough space left on the HD
  • is the HD unduly fragmented
  • etc. etc.

We could narrow the list down if you can give us more information such as

  • did this happen all of a sudden
  • does the system adhere to the requirements
  • why are you saving to a local file
  • which version of Windows (assuming Windows because of WinCache)

Hello Ben

I do not know how it happened, it was working fine before and then all of a sudden

the freezing up occured, which happens all the time now.  My pc definitely

has enough power, and it's running on windows 10.

Thanks,

Justin

Do you have problems saving to My Documents from any other apps?

Try the following:

  1. Rename the Configuration folder, e.g. Configuration-Backup and restart Dreamweaver
  2. Re-install dreamweaver after using the Adobe Cleaner Tool
  3. Use the Log Collector Tool and send to Adobe

Are you working within a defined local site folder?

And is that site folder on your primary hard drive - the same drive as Dreamweaver?
