Adobe whats going on????

New Here ,
May 05, 2006 May 05, 2006
Just thought i would have a little rant!

My impression since the takeover from adobe is they are really letting macromedia down! and losing alot of cred that had been built over the years!! Nothing new is on the horizon in regards to uprading Dreamweaver to the latest coding PHP and .NET!!

Plus with Microsoft releasing the express editions for FREE!!!! they had better get a move on!!! Plus the power of the Visual Studio Gang is unbelievable!!! They have really hit the nail on the head for once!! I hope Adobe have something up their sleeves!! i really do but i just cant see it beating that! enough any way to fork out £400 every time i need to upgrade!!

So come on Adobe! Dreamweaver is a great tool! Please dont let us all down!!

I think you need some Ridalin.

Dreamweaver was just updated, so don't expect a new version for a couple
years or so. It came out before .NET 2, so there was no "ball dropping" by
the DW team. They're simply unable to predict the future or read the minds
of Microsoft employees. Sometimes, life works that way.

Just let Adobe fix Dreamweaver and make it into a better tool for designing
web pages.

Leave the .NET stuff to Visual Studio, which does it way better. It's just
best if Adobe doesn't even waste the effort to go there unless they come up
with a product that surpasses VS... which, somehow, based on past history,
they won't.

Just MHO, but I think the latest .net offerings from MS would pretty much
signal to Adobe not to bother competing in that market.

Though it'd be great if they did push forward with PHP or RoR and the like.

I think they need to differentiate more than assimilate with MS.

Yes, definitely. He/she seems to have some alternate agenda unrelated to
