ANN: Tutorial on using the new Windows installer for PHP

LEGEND ,
Nov 03, 2006 Nov 03, 2006
The release of PHP 5.2.0 is accompanied by a dramatically improved
Windows installer that automates most of the installation and
configuration process. It includes all PHP extensions and works with
both Apache (1.3, 2.0, and 2.2) and IIS. There's no official
documentation yet, but I have posted detailed instructions (based on
Apache 2.2.3) on my website at:

That is great news. Good article. It's about time they released an installer
for the api modules. There are too many people out there using the old cgi
installer on IIS.

Thanks, Tom. I haven't tried out the new installer with IIS yet. Be
interesting to know if it works just as well as with Apache.
