Hi Folks!

Talk about basics...yes, I'm a newbie in this area. Its my assumption that finding a responsive website host might be a challenge when first starting. Which web hosts have served you well?

My intent is to use the Adobe community's extensive experience to narrow down possible choices to 3 or4 Web Hosts.

If along the way, I also develop a checklist of what to what priority features to look for...great!

Thanks in advance for your gift of time and expertise!

Your operating system has no impact on which commercial web hosting company you choose.   What matters is uptime, 24/7 tech support, features vs cost.

Web hosting companies manage the servers only.  They won't hold your hand  with non-server related matters like the software you use or the problems you have coding your site.  That's beyond their scope.

Linux/Apache web hosting on a shared server is the most economical way to go for a new site.  Later as your needs grow, you can upgrade to VPN

Thanks Ben!

Right nowI'm using the cloud for complete/scheduled backups ... also sites like Adobe and Dropbox for current files being worked on plus for others to download BIG files.

I'll still will appreciate feedback on Web Hosts that work well with Adobe Products and provide support when help's needed to correct and/or fine-tuning web site details. I'm definitely not a programmer, but am quite willing to learn how-to start up product details.

Cordially - Steve
