The reason is probably because ASP requires a windows server
so it's a
natural with SQL Server. Most servers with MySql would
probably be Unix
servers which requires an addon like ChiliSoft to process ASP
code and that
isn't often done.
That said, my host allows MySql on ASP sites and their URL is
