Backgound image has lines when I open in browser. Do I need to make the image larger for the page?

Your background image is shorter in width than the width of your page. This causes the background image to repeat which shows the 'lines' as you see. To avoid this create a background image that is larger in width than the maximum width of your page or create a background image that is seamless when repeated.
