Correct. Dreamweaver is not a Java IDE. There's nothing to
stop you
writing Java classes in Dreamweaver, but there are no code
hints, and it
cannot compile Java.
The only Java-related support in Dreamweaver is for
JavaServer Pages
(JSP), and that is being removed from the next version:

Since you're studying Java, you already know the difference,
but just
for the benefit of anyone else reading this, Java is not the
same as
JavaScript. Dreamweaver makes extensive use of JavaScript.
