Can't find this Extension

Is there a free Dreamweaver MX extension I can download -- that will make drop-down menus, check boxes and radial buttons required elements in a form?

I found one yesterday off a site called Yaromat...but it only worked with IE-5. (I am working with IE-7...)...so I deleted that extension and am trying to find one now off of Exchange. Not sure if I'm not doing my search correctly...but any help you could give would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Gail

I am not aware of any 'Free' ones. There are a few commercial ones though.

Hi Brad,

Thanks for getting back to me. Can you point me to the commercial one on this site? Maybe I'm not plugging in correct info for this when I do a search.

Thanks,
Gail

Hi,

Well, that´s what Yaromat says on his website (compatibility notes), but this extension (assumingly the whole website) hasn´t been updated since 2003, and at that time IE 7 didn´t exist.

When working with Yaromat´s "Check Form" extension, the code it generated was actually pretty much "cross browser" compatible and didn´t use fancy proprietary features at all for checking & comparing form elements -- did you actually try some results with IE7 ?

You can also check out new version of Dreamweaver CS3. It includes Spry Form Validation Widgets for client side validation. You can download the Spry code and play with it on your site or wait for CS3 which has great editing support. Examples of those widgets are online at adobe labs:

There's also WebAssist Validation ToolKit which works in DW MX, MX 2004, and 8 (and CS 3 when it comes out). The toolkit has a number of different validations as well as required. It also does client side and server side validation.

Hope that help
