Sorry to be a bother. I have been using Dreamweaver for about twenty years but I only use it a couple of times a year and have never really gained any confidence in using it. Right now I can't "put files" to my remote server, Go Daddy. When I click on the up arrow i get the standard dialog box – "Do you want to put entire site?" When I click on that I immediately get "File Activity Complete", but the updated html is not uploaded. Can anyone help? I am using Dreamweaver 2021 on a MacBook Pro with Venture 13.4.1
Thanks

If you click on Site --> Advanced --> FTP Log when you go to transfer what comes up in that log?

You get what you pay for. Cheap shared web hosting on GoDaddy is not a bargain. 😞 You're sharing your server with hundreds or thousands of other site domains. It's like being in perpetual rush hour traffic.
That said, make sure you have proper server log-in credentials entered in your Manage Sites panel. See screenshot. And your ROOT directory is correct.
Hit the TEST button. If you're unable to connect, click on MORE Options.
Alternatively, you can use a dedicated S/FTP client like free FileZilla client. Click the Green button. For large data transfers, I always use FileZilla over Dreamweaver.

Hope that helps.

You’re saying that GoDaddy is at fault.

It wouldn't be the first time. They reset settings & permissions without telling customers.
This community is rife with prior complaints about GD. 🤔

To Nancy's point here are some examples of what she is talking about. I am by no means saying Adobe is perfect and support is mostly non-existent unless you have enterprise licensing, but Godaddy has had many issues over the years.

Are you getting any errors in your FTP Log?
Open it by going to Window > Results > FTP Log then try the upload again.
GoDaddy is extremely good at borking server credentials during updates and not mentioning it to their customers. The one I see most often is "Same - Not Transferred" which usually means there is no permission to overwrite files on the server under the current credentials.
