Cannot make connection to host

Same as others. I can connect with filezilla with same parameters. I was able to connect 2 days ago with same setup. I redid the site server from scratch same results. Error box indicated I need proxy. We don't have a proxy. I've tried with firewall off, passive checked or unchecked, no diff.

Now a different user connected after me yesterday, so something could have changed but what? Filezilla still works.

FTP log has nothing/empty.  Wireshark shows connection with a Request followed with a short Response from server. Then nothing more. Filezilla has Request/Response repeated many times.

There is one line at the very bottom that says "using port 990". No matter how many times I hit "test" that's all that is there.

This time I cleared the FTP log and tried to connect and the log stays empty.

Apparently Dreamweaver chose to not support the updated TLS 1.2 that came out 8 years ago. https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2053582

This makes DW just a basic html editor that needs Filezilla to talk to the server. So features like File Locking and Design notes are useless.

Bottom line: Dreamweaver CS6 is broken and will stay broken.

Once in a while the site definition will become corrupt.  Create a new one and delete the old.
