Centering and Flush Top

New Here ,
Oct 22, 2009 Oct 22, 2009

I have made a background and some buttons with vista-buttons.  But I can't get the buttons to hug the top of the page.

Please help.  By the way, vista buttons 4.3 is really handy if only I could make them snug to the top of the page.

Thanks in advance.  Lloyd

to at least try and answer your question (rather then ridicule you )... To  get the body of your content to hug the top of the browser, use the following CSS:

body
{
padding-top:0px;
margin-top:0px;
}

and to center an item, use a margin of auto for left and right on the nav div.  Without digging into your code, you may have another issue going on, but at least start here with these two css changes.

FYI, a lot of the errors/warning identified by W3C are from simple improper syntax in links, which wouldn't have anything to do with your question.  For example, use & anywhere you have &

FYI,

A lot of the syntax errors suggest the OP doesn't know much about proper html and CSS syntax which is the ultimate problem with their issue. Instead of providing a handheld solution for their specific issue I suggest learning the code their using. Then there won't be a problem. I suppose it's the differrence between teaching someone to fish and their fed for life vs. handing someone a fish to feed them for a day

You posted to complain about your post being reported as abusive? Are you serious?

The post is not abusive. Your username with email is not recommended though. For your sake. I wouldn't want you to receive unwanted emails from spammers.

Regardless I do not see how any of this is relevant to this thread.

I  received an email from adobe clearly saying you reported my post to the OP as abuse.  So not only are you unnecessarily abusive to people, your not helpful, and you don't tell the truth.  and further, you can choose to subscribe or unsubscribe to any thread posted via your forum preferences, including the option to not receive email with forum updates by default.  i don't know what your deal is, but you're not a pleasure to have on the forums, and judging by many of your rude comments in threads, many other contributors feel the same way. please stop this behavior so this remains a positive and helpful online community location.

FYI If you do not like my posting habits you are welcome to ignore them or discontinue use of the forum. As previously mentioned I do not see how this contributes to the original topic. Are you my daddy? no. Please don't try to be. Your opinion means nothing to me so there's no use in expressing it to me.

I contributed to the original posters question, nothing more or less.  You are gaining a negative reputation here among many high profile community members.  I'm not your father, but it sounds like you need a hug from one.  I'm helping people... which should be the focus of your posts.  Give it a try.
