cfml includes - viewing in Design view

In earlier versions of Dreamweaver cfml includes would render in the Design view mode (note I'm not talking about Live view) . Despite the preferences setting shown below being ticked this does not appear to work any more. Can someone at Adobe (HARSHIKA VERM added by Moderator) please clarify what is going on here or if anyone in the community has found a way around this.

We depend on being able to see the contents of the include in the design view mode as we have site wide navigation and css that once used to be displayed and would render the page correctly - without this working we cant see a rendered view without going to preview (Live view also does not work with cfml anymore).

Thank you

DW has steadily been losing Cold Fusion support since the Creative Cloud Subscription service started.

Adobe has taken the stance that CF users should purchase ColdFusion Builder instead of DW.

Chances are, what you're seeing is an intentional move by Adobe to dissuade CF use within DW.

Never, ever rely upon Dw to provide proper, accurate views.  I know I'm going to draw a lot of ire from hardcore Dw acolytes, and I don't care.

If you want to view changes in code, open a browser (any browser) and it will be 1000% better than any Live/Design View that Dw provides.  Adobe is not a browser company, period.  Dw never has and never will be as accurate as actual browsers when it comes to displaying your work.

I'm not a cold fusion programmer.  But  I work with PHP and  SHTML includes.  My local testing server parses the includes so I can see them in both Design and Live view.   See screenshot.

Advanced Ta.  Select Cold Fusion as your server model.

Hope that helps.
