I have a web site with several files that have html extensions. I want to change them to PHP extensions. Is there a quick way to do this? I cannot see how I can do this with the Find and Replace feature. The only way that I know is to change them individually. Does anyone have a quicker way?

If it's only a few, changing them individually in the file manager window
is probably the best way to do it. Just remember that if you have any
file references in javascript, DW won't change them.

If it's more than that, your better bet might be to do a sitewide
search/replace (search for myFile1.html/replace with myFile1.php). Then
rename the files outside Dreamweaver to avoid confusing DW (and you).
And remember - make sure you make a backup before you start doing
sitewide s/r.

If you've got adobe's bridge (comes with photoshop), use that to do a find change on the names.

Thanks for your replies. For me, it sounds like the easiest and safest way is to just change them individually.

In reference to Mick's question, I have Windows XP Pro. If there is a way to change them outside of DW with the use of a Windows feature, that may work best.

The reason I ask is that I have written an AppleScript to change
extensions in a selected folder. OSX only, though.
