Continuous Crash with Site Requiring Authentication

New Here ,
Aug 16, 2017 Aug 16, 2017

I'm working on an intranet so some of the page content needs a login.

DW is crashing when I enter the User and Password information in the dialogue.

I have not found any way to get it to work consistantly.

CS6 used to be able to do the log-in, but even then problems did happen. I did at one point use a set-up that only checked the authentification via a db setting, but this will only work if you are using a local db on your computer, and also runs the risk of one forgetting to change the development authentication script back to the one required for actual use.

Are you trying to log-in to the site using Dw?

If so it will not work, as Dw's live view does not include a browser cache, and this may be causing it to crash.

Thanks pziecina

Yes I was - is there a was round this?

I'm using iframes to bring in other content from the intranet

I've now reset the DW preferences on startup using

CMD + ALT +SHIFT

and that seems to have got it working again.
