Create the template from Dreamweaver

Hello,

  I wondered If I could  create the template(Bootstrap)  file from site already live.

When I tried to save as Template,  Menu won't highlight(?) let me save as Template

I see no reason why not.  But for better answers you'll need to provide more information.  What's the URL to your live site?

This isn't fit to be a template.  The navigation is too wonky. And the code contains too many errors.  Scrap this.

CREATE A NEW SITE:

Go to  Site > New Site...  Give it a new site name and hard drive folder.  Example C:\MySite2

CREATE YOUR TEST PAGE & TEMPLATE:

1. Go to File > New > Starter Templates > Bootstrap Templates. 

2. Select a layout & hit CREATE button.

3. Save as test_page.html

4. Make whatever changes you wish to your test_page's text & images, etc...  Preview in browser & validate code to ensure it contains no errors.

5. When your test_page is absolutely perfect, go to File > Save As Template. 

6. Switch to Design View.  Add some Editable regions for page specific content.

7. Save Template and close it.

CREATE A CHILD PAGE:

8. Go to File > New page from Template.  Select your newly created Template from the list and hit Create button.

9. Save child page as index.html (your home page).

10. Repeat steps 8 - 9 for other child pages.
