CSS IE Problems

New Here ,
Jul 29, 2006 Jul 29, 2006
I have a site (using PHP) that works great in FireFox. However, in IE it often cuts off the div on the right side to the height of the div on the left side. It doesn't always do this, and the worst part is that I can't recreate the problem consistently, even when I "delete temporary files" in ie to clear the cache.

Also, when I browse from page to page, I see the plain unstyled content flash up first, and then get replaced by the css-styled content. It looks so un-professional!

I know IE is a mess and I've done as much homework as I can to try to work with it, but to no avail. ! Anyone know what these problems might be and if they are solvable? Thanks very much!

Thanks very much for the replay.

Would you mind if I email you the url? It's still under construction on my home computer and I would rather not put that url out into the ether.

If this gets resolved I can post the conclusions here so others (hey, it's ie, there are bound to be plenty of others) can benefit too.

I'd prefer a simple URL.

Others may wish to comment too and I cannot guarantee a reply to your email.

John,

Fair enough. I should be deployed in a few weeks and I'll post that URL so all can see.

I did find my alleged FOUC problem. It seems on a few of my pages I still had my banner information displaying in my authentication code BEFORE the CSS links. That explains why it only happened on a few pages.

Thanks very much for responding.
