Hello all!

I have an old version of DreamWeaver (CS 2) where this feature was prominent. Kind of got used to it as it's occasionally really helpful to have good reference on code integrated into the app.

Now I'm trying get current, but can't seem to find this or activate it. The usual google searches indicate that how you access seems to have changed over the years but I still can't seem to get it to come up. This is with Dreamweaver CC on Mac. Hoping someone can either give me a clue on how to get it to show or confirm that it's been totally removed.

Thanks!

Jon

Poking around Adobe's archived documentation, the last time I see any mention of the Reference Panel was CC2014.

It looks like they moved it to the Help menu in that version and then removed it from the menus entirely in CC2015.

That menu item appears to have been removed in CC2014 or CC2015 (it was available in CC originally, but isn't in 2015 or 2017). The old files and folders that made it work are still in the program, like many other features that have been turned off over the years, but all icons and references to it in the UI are gone now.

Maybe Project 7 will put this one in an extension with the other inexplicably deprecated tools they've resurrected, like Design Time Stylesheets.

Jon,

Thanks for commentary, I was starting to get that feeling that I was probably starting to waste my time continuing to look for it. Not the end of the world but it was nice to have. I'm really more of a programmer and less of a designer so Adobe stuff is already awkward to me. Also only spend part of time doing web dev in Dreamweaver and it's nice to have that resource there. I'm guessing  given the removal that no one is really doing any actual coding in Dreamweaver anymore? What do I know...maybe they never did to start with...LOL.

Thanks for mentioning the project 7 stuff...that looks intriguing. Like I mentioned, I'm not all that familiar with Adobe but have already run into issues having to bring in external plugins to get it to do stuff that it seemed like it should have done out of the box. Last one was Premiere plug ins to export to HTML V video formats. How could they not have that in there?
