I currently run a database on Dreamweaver for the shops & workshops of a company. I've been tasked with granting access SOME area's of the database to other businesses.
I am wondering if this is possible & safe (we really do not want these other businesses to gain access to the rest of the database)
The part we want to give them access to is large and extremely time consuming to create and manage so we want to just give them access to that portion of the site so when we do updates they can see the new prices etc.
If this is not possible we are happy to create a pdf but we would have to send them a new pdf everytime an update is made.
Any idea's or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
There are five basic actions that can be applied to a database. The overall name for these actions is called SCRUD (Search, Create, Read, Update, Delete) Only-authorised people should be given acces to the Create, Update and Delete actions, while a chosen group of people can read and search portions of the database.
All of this can be achieved using Dreamweaver, especially if you use extensions WebAssist and or DMXzone
